Wickerpark! Well said! Unfortunately, you will see death in college football and in public schools. Pretty much a nightmare scenario. The only way to play college sports is without fans . IMHOYour opinion is valid. I think the truth could end up somewhere between. I can see them postponing, as opposed to canceling. But with the current surge in cases, I think breaking all the social distance rules will really be a political nightmare if 1 NCAA player dies. They still have some time to make a decision but, given current surges, its hard for me not to reimagin springtime for football in the ncaa.
Turk, what do you say to the families of these poor high school players that died last year from football-related injuries? Seven families lost their beloved children playing this game. Should we cancel the game altogether?Your opinion is valid. I think the truth could end up somewhere between. I can see them postponing, as opposed to canceling. I'm not sure if your question is addressed to me, but I think injuries are inherent in the sport. If you are saying that Covid is a necessary evil to pile on with the inherent things then I would simply just disagree and it also isn't consistent with the guidance of the NIH and science.Turk, what do you say to the families of these poor high school players that died last year from football-related injuries? What if the girl asked?I can see it now. Two NU kids looking to hook up. They are both in the mood, and then the guy asks...
So, can I remove your mask?
Whoa sexy.

But doesn’t science dictate that football is an inherently dangerous sport per those heartbreaking articles I posted?I'm not sure if your question is addressed to me, but I think injuries are inherent in the sport. Illinois will likely cancel their season in a couple weeks. Look for Northwestern to follow suit! Look for the NFL to follow college football! But doesn’t science dictate that football is an inherently dangerous sport per those heartbreaking articles I posted?
Shouldn’t we cancel it altogether? Not just the concussions and subsequent CTE but the on-field deaths. Why should we keep football at all, honestly?
It doesn’t seem like Alabama will be cancelling anything this season. Their students are holding contests to win the dang virus. Should we just anoint them the 2020-21 champion?Illinois will likely cancel their season in a couple weeks. Look for Northwestern to follow suit! Look for the NFL to follow college football!
