If you’d told me pregame that:

- Dayton would shoot 50%+ from the field AND from 3

- Boo would have 15

- Our big man would have 4 pts and just 3 rebounds

I’d have expected not just a loss, but an ugly one. And yet…we won. That is impressive and, I think, a hopeful reality about this team. Quality win…and we didn’t come close to playing as well as possible.

When Boo had to sit with 4 fouls, we actually increased our lead. We are pretty deep at guard.

In terms of adjusted offensive efficiency, the Dayton game would have been our second-best game last year (only to the R64 win over Boise St). Pretty clear we've taken a step up offensively this year. Meanwhile, defense hasn't been quite as good but I am optimistic because a lot of the underlying data still looks good (namely, forcing turnovers).

Totally. Good teams find a way to win in any number of circumstances. This would have probably been a bitter loss in past years.
That was the big negative on Collins for years. Couldn't win the tight ones. But having more seasoned players and attitude and now they get the job done
