Might be the first time I've seen a double-technical with both fouls on players from the same team.
True. The TV people were guessing that one of the technical would be against Pardon. Think the refs got that one right and I could have seen #21 also getting an ejection.

Fair amount of that chippy play last night.

I thought what was impressive about NU was their ability to retain their defensive focus after the lead became insurmountable which was midway through the first half.

I played against Tracy Dildy in my youth and my opinion of him is vey high. A very positive and decent guy. However, I think it would have help CSU the rest of the season if they slowed the pace of the game after the lead was 20ish. To lose like that can destroy a team for the year. I think that's where the chippy ness came from.

Last thought is that I was pleased that NU didn't try too hard to get to 100. My presumption is that if one of those threes was hit an immediate shut down of shot attempts would have ensued.

It seemed to me that they tried to slow the game. They had several shot clock violations. Their big problem in the first half was they kept turning the ball over without even getting a shot off. 25 turnovers is an amazing number when you only get around 70 possessions per game.

Pardon was ready to bite on the first push and I think the second guy surprised him enough to let the ref step between them. I was amazed the guy kept trash talking him over the ref's shoulder. What a maroon.
