Did we have one set offensive play today?

So much dribbling around, so much standing around, I couldn't tell if anything above really poor level streetball was the gameplan today. Calhoun commented on how we needed to pass the ball to be effective on offense, but there was zero ball movement. How about a pass to the post, someone running the baseline and a kickout to the corner? Just a thought. Even if it hadn't gone down (probably wouldn't tonight), at least it would've looked like a structured offense and not the same old, "let me try and break you down off the dribble to create something" shtick we've been watching for too long now.

Thats what has been so frustrating with this team - the lack of movement. I see the same curl into the paint with a soft outlet pass to a set shooter. Happens at least 30 times a game, and it never works because the defender sticks on the spot up shooter who never moves. Easiest defensive play ever. And we rarely work the ball into the post, rarely see decisive off ball movementby the wings, and never see both together.

I hope it is just inexperience... I'm but in the meanwhile, they are making half court offensive sets so difficult for themselves...

We actually generated a decent amount of open looks, particularly in the first half. But Tap missed three bunnies for him, and the downward spiral was on...

Collins still needs better players. Not enough threats on the floor so the team is easy to defend when they are playing top5 big10 teams.

I don't really buy that. These players have made shots in the past. We need better offensive execution.
