Does anyone have an educated guess where we might end up?

would love to put some flights on a 24 hour hold now before the inevitable rush tomorrow

Greenville is a Friday Sunday pod. Indianapolis and Milwaukee are drivable.

Tulsa? Slc? Sacramento? Buffalo?

Can anyone smarter than me guesstimate what's most likely?

Consensus #1 seeds:
Villanova (Buffalo?)
North Carolina (Greenville?)
Gonzaga (SLC? Sacramento?)
Kansas (Tulsa? Milwaukee?)

Book some flights!

Milwaukee and Sacramento don't host 1-16/8-9 games. If we are indeed an 8 or 9, it will be one of the other four you listed.

I myself booked a flight to Salt Lake today at a decent price because it's the only one of the four that is 100% not driveable, and there were only a couple seats left at the price I got.

If it's Greenville or Tulsa, that's gonna be tough to get to. But we made it!!!

8-9 matchups

This isn't entirely true. If Oregon wins the PAC12 and ends up a 1 seed in the West, Sacramento would host a pod with 1/16 and 8/9 as it's closer to Eugene than SLC.

Fact is, if we're a 7 seed, predicting a pod is almost impossible as it all would depend where we end up on the S curve and which 2 seed we're aligned with. If we're paired with Kentucky, that would put us in Indy. If we're in Arizona's pod, we'd be in SLC, and likewise Oregon would be Sacramento.

The NCAA loves setting up side stories, so I wouldn't be surprised to see us as the 7 seed in Duke's pod. That would have us in Greenville.

So, go ahead and book flights for Greenville!

My mind is officially kaplooie from the possibilities.

Kelly: You think SLC over SAC for Gonzaga? I don't disagree...just curious about your level of certainty.

I was just going by Lunardi's backetology as to where he has the 1 vs 16 and 8 vs 9 games. I didn't realize the locations could change.

joe lunardi Has us in Buffalo as an 8 seed vs Ark and a matchup vs Nova

It appears that we may be seeded as an 8 or a 9. The sites where the first round takes place have two sessions: a noon and a 6 pm. Does anyone know what time the 8/9 games will be played at the 4 sites that have the 8/9 games. I have not been able to find that information.

Thanks and Go Cats !

Times I think are up to the Networks after they see the brackets. I am assuming because of the Cats story we will not be a 12oclock games and we will be the after work time.

Yeah think you're right though... if you look on map where Gonzaga is, SLC is closer than Sacramento. Plus it makes sense to send the 2 high seeded PAC 12 teams (Oregon and UCLA) to Sac, and then Gonzaga and Arizona to SLC.

Lunardi just put out his final bracketology. Has us as an 8 seed in Buffalo playing Oklahoma State.
