Sorry if this was already posted somewhere and I missed it. Just curious since I seem to recall that Miller Kopp has his official in mid-September.

One report had Bey scheduled for a 9-22 weekend official, one week after Kopp.

Thanks! Too bad he wouldn't get to see a football game if that's the case. Kopp will probably get to see the game under the lights against Bowling Green. Hope the guys put on a good show.

I could see this as another Lathon-Dosunmu situation, since both will likely be told that they'll have every opportunity to replace Scottie Lindsey in the starting lineup. It will be interesting to see if one or the other commits quickly if they like their visit.

Interesting, I figure whoever they have scheduled first must be their preference. Though it could just be when kids were able to make it up too.

It's funny, it never even occurred to me that the school would pick the date. I just figured they catered to the recruits.

There were some who thought we had Lathon ranked higher than Ayo, hence, he was scheduled earlier, so Ayo didn't even have a chance to come in for his visit when Lathon pulled the trigger.

I would think that if Kopp likes his visit, there will be pressure for him to commit, with Bey coming in next.

Would that have to do with liking Kopp better or simply believing that either is a great option and both have other great options? Do we care which we get or do we only care that the both don't take a pass?

Well, I'm speculating a bit. If we thought that a kid is most likely to commit after an official, especially if another highly touted kid is going to be coming in a week later, I'm just speculating that we might try to arrange it to have the kid we like a little bit more, to have first shot.

But, you may have a point - maybe we don't care which one we get, and this is just how it is playing itself out.

I think this this is a similar situation to Lathon and Ayo. They'd be perfectly happy with either but feel Kopp is more interested in them so they pressure him by putting him before Bey.
But even though they'd be perfectly fine with either if you gave CC truth serum I think he'd admit he'd rather have Bey.

I hadn't previously considered the school doing the scheduling. But on further reflection, I don't think that the scheduling order really matters at this point since both Kopp and Bey have offers. Either one could just call up and commit to secure the slot. We would be happy to have either one, but we certainly want one of the two.

Has THT officially eliminated NU from his list? Or is it just an assumption given offers from MSU and Kansas?

Don't think we are eliminated, but with the addition of Young, there is less pressure to bring in THT. We'd love to have him and if he told us tomorrow that he wants to be a Cat, I'm sure we would accept his commitment, but the odds aren't as good as they used to be, and we aren't going to wait around for him. Bey and Kopp would be strong gets in their own right and not worth losing them to wait for THT.

I generally agree with this -- Bey strikes me as a do-it-all player like Law. Though Kopp brings a unique skillset and 3-point shooting that could work well with Gaines, Nance and the other wings. He and Falzon playing together would do wonders to space the floor.

I would be extremely happy with either Kopp or Bey committing, and I think CCC would, too.
