He was as off as he's been all season last night. I know he's the straw that stirs the drink, but maybe a game off against Minny wouldn't be the worst thing. Let Lindsey and Brown take turns at the point, and give Taphorn the call to start a home game, and see what works.

He was forcing it last night. And he's an aggressive guy, and I fear his solution is to force it more.

I realize this is a stupid and implausible idea, but I've probably come up with worse.

He gets 6 days to rest up before Minny. I don't think NU can afford to lose a player for the game as short as the bench is now.

He needs less minutes, not a break. He cant play 37 minutes and expect to be productive if we arent playing zone. Imo he isnt in the best shape so the teams that really work him are rewarded by gassing him out in the first half then making him a rubbery player in the second half. Im sure collins will address this once ash gets healthy. Mac needs about 5 minute breaks for each half. His stamina is weak.

I was only watching in the first half last night, but he seems to be taking too much onto himself. A lot of bouncing the ball and forcing shots that really weren't there. I'm not a big fan of excess dribbling, especially with a 30-second clock now in effect.

Ash has played in the last few games, including last night. What makes you think he is injured?
Great, then he needs to play a few more minutes. I think collins realizes that his star guard cant keep clocking 37 minutes playing man up. We will continue to blow leads moreso with the strategy of playing mac 37 minutes. And over the season he will have noodle legs by the tournament.

But im not against him shooting. His shooting will come around.

MSU has talented players and their scouting report was to attack NU's perimeter players by playing NU players tight and force NU to take the ball to the hole or try to post up MSU. NU does not have anyone who can post up consistently and we need recruits who can get some interior post baskets and McIntosh and Lindsey were not quick enough to penetrate against MSU athletically talented guards. The ball pressure on McIntosh and Lindsey led to 6 TOs in the first 10 minutes. This coupled with the fact that MSU made 75 percent of their shots in the first 10 minutes led to NU falling behind too much in the first 10 minutes. This year, MSU had the no. 3 recruiting class in the nation in no. 11 Miles Bridges (injured), no. 19 Joshua Langford, no. 32 Cassius Winston and no. 40 Nick Ward. Winston's quickness and athleticism made it very difficult for McIntosh and led to too many TOs. The only players who played with the aggression to attack MSU's pressure defense were Law and Taphorn. Lindsey played too tentative, but he will learn from this or NU will not get to the tourney. NU's Big 10 success this year rides with the performance of Law, McIntosh and Lindsey. McIntosh and Lindsey went 6 for 25 from the field and that will not cut it against the athletes of the top half of the Big 10. MSU is a top 4 Big 10 team (Purdue, UW, MSU and Indiana) even with 5 early losses. McIntosh will have to play his 33 minutes and NU will live and die with him on the court.

"Taking on too much" is what I'm seeing. He had at least two sloppy turnovers last night - just trying to force balls into openings that weren't there.

He had five dimes (we like dimes) including one backdoor bouncepass that demonstrated exemplary vision and patience - but he just seems off.

That's my thought, which of course won't happen - skip a game, witness the talent that's around him, come back refreshed.

Wrassler is an Ash man.

But he was off from the beginning of the game
