Don't Sleep on Maryland

In a strange way, I consider the Rutgers game a bigger game than the Maryland one. Beat Rutgers, and NU is assured of having no bad losses (though Illinois still hurts, their RPI is respectable for a bad team). They'd basically only need to find one other win somewhere. Obviously, I would love to beat Maryland, and a win over Maryland is more valuable in the grand scheme of things (Big Ten standings, getting the double-bye in the BTT, beating a ranked team, NCAA seeding), but Rutgers...

ah hell, just win 'em all.

This is a really good point. If we could win one game this week, the clear choice is Rutgers ... which will be our third game in seven days after probably two 40-minute efforts from Mac and Law.

Collins is doing an amazing job. Taking down Wiskey in Madison was huge. Taking down Maryland in Evanston is the next step. We have our mojo back.

I'm sure we got Maryland's attention but we will thrash them anyways.

Doubt if Maryland is sleeping on us, either.

Just the thought of facing our lock-down D makes Melo Tremble.

Hope he turns turtle....

We have been so close to beating Maryland the last couple of years, but could not close out the games. I am sure the players are well aware and will use tonight's game as a measuring stick. I hope this proves to be another successful step in the process.
