Frustrating to watch them down the stretch. I understand the desire to run clock but waiting till the last 5 seconds of the shot clock to try to start something is potential for disaster. Way to tenative Hard to get any kind of shot with that little time. Led to a bunch of bad shot attempts and turnovers by BMac and at least one of them a live ball or in announcers words pick 6 turnover. Could have easily led to a loss. Needs to start with about 10 seconds remaining

Agree....that TO by BMac that led to a quick 2 points was maddening. Honestly, I'd rather put the ball in Law's hands with 10 seconds and let him go at it right now. The alternative doesn't work.

Eh I don't know about that. Vic is useful for a lot of things, but I don't think creating his own shot is one of them. Even when he scores off the dribble, it's most always because someone drove and kicked it to him so he had a defender coming back at him off balance so he was able to penetrate and then (usually) go for one of his pull-ups.

Agree BMac has not been very good in end of half / game situations this year, but I think either he or (on good days) Scottie is still our best option for that scenario. We don't have great 1 on 1 creators. Another alternative idea would be to kill some clock then try to feed it down to DP with like 5-8 seconds to go. He's been a pretty efficient option in the post this year, and if they sag down we should get an at least partially open shot elsewhere. But that option is less precise in terms of timing so might leave opponents a chance to score back.

A lot of those throwing lanes are cut off.. Especially when BMac just sort of holds it till 5 seconds left on shot clock. If he starts his move at 10 seconds much more likely to either get a reasonable shot off or find another option and likely it would only be a difference of a couple seconds max. It would put us in better position to win.

Agreed. B-Mac had a lousy game. We would have won easily without his 7 turnovers, a number of which let UW back in the game. I'm a B-Mac fan, but he's a very erratic shooter. The 3-point airball late was sad. We won this game mostly because of Pardon.

Agree I cringe about any time Mac shoots from more then 10 feet. really don't understand what has happened to his shot, unless he is still feeling the effects of his previous leg injuries.
