After going back and getting more tickets, most of those are sold. I have one ticket left. At this point I can get as many more tickets as I want. If the demand is there I will get more tickets . It is time for all those people who are sitting on the fence to decide on going to the game . Let's get some more purple in the stands .
My ticket block is in section 4, 20 to 25 yard line, roughly 2/3 of the way up ( there are only about 45 rows), visitor side of the field and adjacent to an aisle. The official northwestern allotment is in section 1 and or two , roughly the end zone . My tickets are in the reserved seating section. Feel free to Google Duke football seating chart. The tickets are $35 face value and are being offered for $30 apiece. Anyone who previously said they are interested but did not send me an email is not being included in my headcount. For those who wish to buy tickets please send me an email - frogking(at) bellsouth (dot) net.

Let's step up. I an bringing my 80+ year old parents (J52 and Ed52) so I know there are at least 100 others out there who want to support the Cats. Support FloridAlums to fill a section of the Duke stadium that will make Dukies say WTF.

Update to update - I had one ticket left and just got orders for four more tickets. So I will be going back for more tickets. I do not know how many yet. I might wait a little while to see if there is more demand. Because I have to pay for tickets upfront when I reserve them, I would like to not be stuck with a bunch of unsold tickets.
The Dookies will be saying WTF when they see Glades and The Waterboy. OTOH when they see Turk and me they will just moan and say oh no they are back, we don't have a chance.

Furthermore I appreciate this NUAlum78 dude encouraging people to join our group just like he did, but he has an ulterior motive . He is hoping that if he stays in my good graces his older parents will get seats on the aisle. Anyone who knows me realizes that I have principles, and for the right price I am willing to ignore them. It is working. I can be bought. His parents will be sitting on the aisle. Let this be a lesson to anyone else who is seriously considering a bribe. Cold beverages work even better than sweet talk. Turk even came to Florida about a week or so ago and treated me to a superduper breakfast, hoping I would give him a seat closer to midfield. It might not work, but at least he understands the concept of how to get things done.

Another update . Got 10 more tickets from Duke, and eight of them are sold. Two left. I can get more tickets if I need them. Keep those orders coming. A really great guy contacted me today and took five tickets. I assume he is a great guy because he bought two tickets for his wife's parents. I also moved our ticket block again. We were on an aisle close to the 20 and I moved us over to the next aisle close to the 25 because Turk bought my breakfast . We are also a little higher, roughly rows35 to 40 . The new location is a little better view and a little easier to get to. Let's get some more purple into that stadium

As I recall from the previous two Duke games I attended, this is not a stadium where you want to be too close to the field. Think Big House before they lowered the field. Rows 35 to 40 will be great, especially if on the 25.

Also since we were there in 2008, they lowered the field and added six or eight rows at the bottom. I would not want to sit in the bottom 10 or 15 rows. As I recall, at that time I was sitting 10 or 15 rows down from the top. We will now be roughly 5 to 10 rows down from the top. You enter from the top level and then walk down to your row. Also the new block location is a bit closer to the gate where everyone will enter. If this sounds a little confusing, our block is in five consecutive rows.

The reality is that I bought two of your breakfasts. Does the second breakfast get us to the 30 yard line? Me and The Waterboy are spoiled chidren and want to sit closer to the 50 but the 25 is still fine. Do I have to buy more food for you at the BBQ place on the Friday prior to the game to get to the 50?

The first one was almost noon my time, so I was thinking of it as lunch. However, because I ordered pancakes, I will give you the benefit of the doubt and call it two breakfasts. I cannot move us closer to the 50 because that would be in section 5 which is for season-ticket holders. You are still welcome to buy me more food anyway. I would suggest the fruit cobbler

I believe I was the first to actually reimburse you for the tickets-do I get closer to the 30 yd line ?

Your check has already cleared. You might as well show up. I know you and Glades you'll have a good time.

I'll probably stay in Virginia now
Glades is a loner and usually disappears after the first quarter and sits somewhere else or checks out the bugs. We are happy to get our buddy up for the game away from boots for a couple days. But, just wait until the second quarter and I'm sure the seat will be empty.

As far as FloridAlum's drink, he seems to like coffee a bit and maybe he can move you closer to the 30. I'm out two breakfast's but I'm hoping for another car ride. The Waterboy should be able to cover the cobbler for FloridAlum.

I am pretty sure that The Waterboy also had the cobbler when we were there before. It was homemade and awesome, and at least three different flavors, peach cherry and blueberry , And they had some other kind of dessert that look great. Forgot what it was.
Because I have to pay for the tickets upfront, I'm telling the guy in the ticket office that I hope I don't get stuck with extra unsold tickets. He says we have a program here where you can donate unsold tickets to underprivileged people. I said that I have a program where I stand outside the stadium yelling, ""Extra tickets for sale! Extra tickets for sale!"

No. That's not it. If you haven't noticed, I'm a large guy who hates: 1) having cramped seats when I can find more comfortable seating elsewhere (several games), 2) sitting in assigned seats far from the action when there are better, unoccupied seats for the same price (Outback Bowl), and 3) sitting next to miserable people who bitch about everything the entire game (Vandy 2000).

I do like to check out interesting bugs if they're around, though.
