ESPN has NU in Pinstripe Bowl

What is interesting about that projection is that the same two (Schlabach and McMurphy) had NU in Foster Farms last week against Stanford. They now have Indiana v Stanford in the Foster Farms. They still have Maryland, the other 6 win team, to the Quicklane in Detroit.

In last week's poll Indiana was slotted by both of them to the Music City against Tennessee.

Also of note, their prior week's projections also had Alabama, OSU, Clemson, and Washington playing for the National Championship so it looks like the only real dynamic change for them was impliedly that with Indiana losing its head coach that pushed Indiana downward. Applying their logic from last week though, Northwestern could also as a 6 win team end up filling that Music City slot. At least in their view a 6 win team could jump an 8 win team to move into Music City.

Why? Thinking that No.Carolina would be a pretty good match for NU. Then there's playing in historic Yankee Stadium.
I agree and think UNC would be perhaps the best potential match-up if we end up in the Pinstripe bowl. They had some nice wins earlier in the season but lost to Duke and NC State in the last three weeks of the season to finish 8-4.
