I didn't see tonight's game because of the TV situation, but I noticed in the box score that Falzon had six rebounds, which is a step in the right direction. He is a good spot up shooter but he has been pressing since the first five minutes of the Fairfield game and hasn't shot a lick. My biggest concern though with him is his ball handling which needs work. He is all right handed. I have yet to see him go to his left and his dribbling needs work. The other night against Columbia he did a dribble drive across the key and on his third dribble I caught his eyes looking at the ball. Sort of reminded me of Kale Abrahamson, who's ball handling skills were poor in his freshman year also.
In regard to Taphorn, where was he tonight. We could sure use a good fifteen minutes out of him.

I'd imagine that everything won't start making sense to Falzon until mid to late year, sorta like Law last year. Those two will really compliment eachother next year if Law comes back from a tough shoulder injury.

In watching the game, I assume that Taphorn was removed due to his defense (not that he was the only culprit, even Skelly, who has been defending well, got absolutely burned on at least one play I saw...)

You mentioned, 'removed'. I'm not well versed on basketball coaching patterns but it seems as if BC and even Collins yank a player for sometimes one poor play at an end of the court, but almost always after two poor plays on either end of the floor. Is this common? I can't really formulate an opinion on it and I wonder if it happens moreso in OOC than the BIG games. I may be totally wrong but I think it shakes the confidence of guys like Taphorn and Olah, although guys like Sanjay and Demps seem to respond to it...although I've noticed Demps has a lot more rope before he gets pulled. Neither good or bad and no opinion on it, but I was wanting to know if this was common among coaches.

Difficult to respond to your comment in the context of Tap, since it has generally not been one bad play, but that in general, he tends to get to caught out of position and, when he is in position, his man beats him. Olah, just seems to go to the bench lately for breathers rather than poor play (offense or defense). I do think that, if Collins does remove players for issues on the court (as opposed for rest or as part of a substitution strategy), they tend to be more for defensive issues as opposed to offense.
