...Demps with that 3 when we were down by six late. We had to have points on that possession. I typically don't expect it to go in when he shoots, but he nailed that one!

Then some other guys really stepped up. All of them, really. A true team victory and a grind for shooting so poorly and giving up so many offensive boards...

Finding a way to win on a poor shooting night is what good teams do... NU is heading for the bubble - BIG is easier than it has been... but again expectations are rising - not always good for us

This looks like a tougher team than I have seen in past NU editions. Temps and BMac took over when the Cats were struggling in the second half and willed NU to the win. The good news is, there have been different combinations of scorers who have picked u the slack this season. Sanjay was clutch in the first half, Demps and B<ac the second, and Calzone the OT. I'm not seeing NCAA yet, but give the guys credit, they have won every game they should have won this year. No bad losses, and I believe there is no such thing as a "bad win"!

I'm under the impression of it's just impossible yet to say whether I see the NCAA yet, we just don't know enough about the other teams at this point.
I will say there haven't been a whole lot of seasons where we could honestly say "sure we've got a shot" and mean it. Have a feeling we're entering a whole new era of NU basketball.
As for the main point of your post ..... agreed. MUCH tougher.

your weak schedule will hurt you. You have only played one real team this year and lost. I think you will be better this year, but I do not see you in the top 7 of the league and big will get no more than 7 in and most likely 6

Thanks for stopping by. We're rebuilding, which explains our schedule, but why in the world does your team have the 253rd ranked KenPom SOS?

Best of luck with Kennesaw State! Should be an exciting tilt....

no question we have some weak sisters on our schedule and we should not, e are Indiana when it comes to basketball and baseball, I do not like the schedule that Crean puts together. we should be playing a top notch schedule like Michigan State does . no excuses. But we stilled have played a much tougher schedule than Northwestern, We will or should finish in the top four in the league and get in, where as Northwestern is still a few years away, depending on if Collins stays there or goes back to Duke as the head coach, and you loe some rfeally good players this year that will be hard to replace. But yes, you are rebuilding, but Like us at IU, you need to upgrade your schedule even more then we do.

Not worried about the weak schedule. NU will go 11-7 in the B1G regular season.

This is something I'm starting to think about also. You could see it a bit against DePaul. I think there's a different attitude from these guys in tight situations.

I'm not willing to say there's some complete cultural turnaround. I need to see it regularly and against strong opponents. But I'm wondering if it's a start.
