Well, let me start by stating the customary: Don't sleep on the Huskers.

Yes, they've dropped four in a row after their 3-0 start, but their last two were one-point losses -- off of offensive rebounds, to boot. The Huskers have a dynamic backcourt with Tai Webster (18.1 ppg) and Jordan Ash's former teammate at St. Joe's, Glynn Watson (14.6). Containing them will be key.

It looks like a late-arriving crowd for Social Media Night. Ten minutes before tip it's only half full.

Interesting that NU has Law guarding PG Glynn Watson, with BMac on Evan Taylor. I don't recall if they did that in Lincoln.

NU is getting a lot of good looks in the paint early.

Nebraska's Michael Jacobson drives me crazy. He's one of those YMCA all-hustle guys who seems to be everywhere on the floor and is there for every loose ball. Great guy to have on your team, but if you're against him, you can't stand him.

The Cats really played some bad basketball there for a while -- they went more than 4 minutes without a point and missed 9 straight shots, while Webster and Watson were really attacking the basket. The Cats already have 6 turnovers. But the smaller Brown and BMac backcourt seems to be doing a better job.

That's disappointing. I know Sunday is sold out. Hope it's not all IU fans.
Dave Ennent said it was a good crowd lots of energy. Alternative facts, I Guess. I just have to get used to my new reality.:)

I'm here. Crowd is good and 80 percent or more purple. Certainly not a sellout. Where the people in the purple seating are, I'll never know.

Brown has all sorts of skill. When his judgment matches that - and it grows in fits and starts - he'll really be even more fun to watch.

They were really taking bad shots there for a while. I'm convinced that when you do that, you start to miss your good looks too. Brown helped the recovery after contributing to the problem early when he first came in for Mac.
