NU whipped Minnesota just two weeks ago, 83-60, but there are two major differences this time around.

For one, Amir Coffey is back for Minnesota. Coffey, an explosive wing, missed the first game and was out for about three weeks before he made a surprise start against Ohio State in the Gophers' last game. He scored 11 points.

The other one is geography: this game is on the road at Williams Arena. NU has won only one road game this year and it was at DePaul, which hardly counts as they played in downtown Chicago.

Bryant McIntosh set a school record with 16 assists the first time around and Scottie Lindsey had his best game in quite a while, with 22 points. Both players will have to come up big again.

Lou, you had a “faux pas” in this article! You didn’t focus on the wildcats reemergence defensively with Ash and Gaines solidifying the identify of this defense! Collins and the wildcats have worked out their kinks and are ready to jump on the gophers! Our good wins, DePaul,Illinois,PSU,and the GT loss, Ash and Gaines have shined! Well, wrassler and the cats are back! Look out!

What a joke! Where is Ash? We had a seven point lead and just got smoked with Falzon and Gaines and Benson! Put Ash,Law, and Pardon in there! Mac has beeen burned for two threes and has turned the ball over!

We were up 13-7 when I tuned in. Minny scored 7 straight to take the lead. I'm shutting the TV off.

Yes please. That was a horrendous stretch just now. NU was playing the game it wanted, and the subs (Gaines/Falzon/Benson) just didn't do much of anything. Benson had one nice hard take. BMac had to dribble too much, offense stagnated.

This is why the rotation is so short right now.
