I've been saying for years that if you're going to play an FCS team, make it the worst FCS team ever. No sense playing a good one because you get 0 credit for that if you win. I thought EIU was not good during the game. After reading MR, it's clear that they were really really bad. That's the type of FCS team we should play!!!

Except they were in the FCS playoffs in 2012 and 2013...so they were probably a fairly decent team when this game was originally scheduled. It will interesting to see how they perform this season, who knows that might not be as bas as everyone seems to think.
Why you gotta burst my bubble, bro? I was legit happy there for a moment sincerely thinking that Fitz and Phillips have nothing better to do than to read my posts and respect my opinion enough to listen to me.

Boston College must have taken your advice, scheduling Howard U. It was 41-0 at the end of the first quarter yesterday in that one.
In 2013 they ended ranked #4 nationally, and held the #2 position for multiple weeks. They very nearly beat NIU, which that year also had an excellent season, ending their regular season as #16.
In 2014 they had a mediocre season. I have no idea how this season will turn out fr them, but you'd guess that their recent strong seasons must have helped them recruit fairly well at the FCS level...which is one of the reasons I have trouble believing the claim that they are extremely bad....of course a decent P5 team should still have significantly more talent than a very good FCS team....but this doesn't mean the FCS team is awful, or that it couldn't even be practice material for the P5 team.
