Fitz is incredibly well spoken! If we win ten games or more,as I predict, we may have to worry about Fitz getting a 4 million dollar offer from a few top teams. Whatcha think?

After the 10 win+ season I hope one of those "Top Teams" offering Fitz 4 million dollars is Northwestern.

Well, considering than this is his TENTH season, and that up to now he has never won more than 5 B1G games (winning 5 only three times, and 3 or fewer all other times, including its most recent 2 seasons) I doubt that a single good season will make him a coaching star. Yes in the pre-GB years , even a single great season at NU would have been enough for coaching stardom. But not any longer, since NU itself won THREE B1G championships in the decade or so preceding PF's tenure, including consecutive ones.

In the interest of full disclosure, I think I was the first Internet poster who suggested Pat Fitzgerald as an eventual coach at Northwestern. It was back in the Gary Barnett era when the only Internet fan site was hosted by The Chicago Tribune. I was very impressed with Pat's motivational "coaching" role supporting his teammates as they went on to play in The Rose Bowl while he was sidlined with an injury.
