We heard a pretty riled up Pat today. He was extremely hard on the OL and on the Superbacks. Said Cushing intended to play more OLmen but failed to execute his plan. Said the OL were the last to get lined up and get their calls in. Got all over North for the poor snaps. Said Vitale (Dan) and Dickerson did nothing to contribute Saturday, which seemed a little harsh. Said Cam D was hurt earlier in training camp and is day to day. Mitchell is a little dinged up (lower body) and still rounding into form. Was actually OK with the receivers except for the 2 holding penalties. The refs warned the sidelines that the Cats were getting a little "outside" with their hands, they "coached them up", and still got called. Seemed pretty happy with the 5 true freshmen who played.

Fun listen. A little snarky at times but overall not bad.

I like how he thoughts the refs had a great game too, which of course is what he's going to saw. He's great with media though, I really enjoy listening to both he and Collins

The refs were pretty good, except for spotting punts. In past years PAC12 officials have made some horrendous mistakes.

although vitald was a bit disappointing, i thought G dickerson had a solid game with two sealed blocks on jacksons two longest runs. Not sure what happened in the redzone but maybe dickerson missed a block.
at any rate, i like how fitz talks now and there really is less coachspeak.

Here's the video. I think Fitz was just ensuring that his players' heads don't get too big. The media and fans are singing their praises and will be all week.

Could he have run the wrong route in the end zone on that pass which was almost intercepted? He jumped up and down after the play was over. Just a wild guess.

Are we sure those were Pac12 refs? yesterday after the game we had a discussion regarding what the referees get paid. Is it per game or do they sign a contract with certain conferences? Some thought they receive near nothing, while I and some others thought they got $500 or more, plus all expenses. I know the chain gang guys get very little pay but I would think that the referees pay is much different.

As of two years ago, PAC 12 officials made between $2700 and $2900 a game, including travel, according to an Oregonian story. Probably make more than that now.

Thanks Idaho. Do you think that Big Ten refs make same kind of cash?
