Fitz.

If Fitz doesn't find a way to beat Penn state, it is over for him. It is not JON, the problem, as Turk says, is Fitz, Out or touch, or complacent.
Penn State will beat this team by 24! Did you see their running 🏃‍♀️ backs?

1-11 season=Fitz is gone
3-9, good season, 3-9, 1-11
Who survives that?

It's really not hard to imagine a 1-11 season this year. I'll hold out hope for an upset, because as a Northwestern fan we expect upsets, but I don't see where its coming from this season.

Just saw a stat: NU 6-15 in Sept. games since 2016. Funny how that quietly became the norm for us.
EDIT: this is the worst of any Power 5 team in the same time frame.

Inability to prepare the team for the season even in good years is a glaring problem, and seems to be aligned with NU's frequent slow starts in individual games.

I am not a a Fitz detractor, nor have i been, nor do I want to be, until today. For all he has been given, he has not put together a coaching staff that can compete at an acceptable level. And I see no way it can improve to an acceptable level this year. Hilinski, nor any other players in particular, are the problem. We look like the Keystone Cops out there, and that is on coaching.

You really think his fate hinges on Penn State? Not a chance, no matter who the AD is.
No, but perhaps it should be. NU has lost three games they should have won already this year. I do not see a single B1G game they can win this year based on this caliber of coaching. Wisconsin, maybe, but something fundamental seems to be wrong, and so that seems unlikely.

Iowa and Illinois are probably the worst teams left on the schedule, IMO

So? Win against the worst teams in the B1G, what doea that prove? Nothing, except we can beat teams worse than us. Based on today, I will be very surprised if we win another game this year. However, we have the players to win most of our remaining games.

You were commenting on which Big Ten games you could see them winning, and I pointed out I can see them beating Iowa or Illinois before I can see them beating Wisconsin. I can squint and see the possibility of a win vs those two teams, I cannot do the same with Wisconsin.

I see Wisconsin more so than Illinois, but still, so?
