I dont think so. Our d continyes to play well. Our weaknesses at wr and ol and oc were exposed today after falling behind.

Go cats!

I cannot argue about weakness at WR. Yes, the throws were contested but catching a contested pass is what a good WR does.

The O-Line was outmanned. I have seen previous NU O-Lines get much more badly mauled against less talented D-Lines. Just last year. The O-Line is improving and will help us to win some more games this year. They just ran into a buzzsaw today.

In terms of the OC, I think he has a very limited playbook. Maybe it is due to the RS frosh at QB. But he did start going against type and throwing on first down. He just could not rely on his receiver's to make the plays necessary to make a catch. He found himself ending up at 2nd and 10. So he went back to running.

There is no excuse for that darned QB option, though. Either teach Thorson to run that properly or drop it from the playbook.

I really don't know how Springer or Cushing keep jobs. Our WRs and OL used to be our STRENGTHS. Now they are our weakness and that weakness ties almost directly to their taking over at these positions. We just saw how important a coaching change can be. Fitz needs to wake up and get folks who can do these jobs and teach these kids up. Because these guys clearly can't.

McHugh? Getting the ball stolen on that int was brutal and a total killer. Not that we were going to win, but that is a ball he has to win.
