Just so you know, checked out the NIL site and it isn't even stuff I would want. Way over priced for what it is and to add insult to injury to give such a donation, you would have to pay sales tax to state of IL. One thing to donate another to be ripped off by the state of IL to do it. They better come up with something better

I've got to give you credit. Over the 20 years or so I've followed these message boards I've seen posters give all kinds of excuses to NOT support the teams/players. The current hazing situation giving people more excuses to dump on NU. I do believe however that this is the first time someone has used Illinois sales tax as a reason to not support lol.

I can support different ways to give, but this is potentially buying stuff I don't care for at inflated prices and then having to pay sales tax to do it, One thing to just give $20 but to have to spend $65 (cost of sweatshirt on the site that I would not wear $59.95 plus sales tax Did not even bother to check if there were shipping charges as well) for something that I would not buy or wear to get them that same $20, maybe? Very inefficient, The sales tax on an inflated price, that does not get to them but instead to State of IL is adding insult to injury,

I would just prefer that they would set up something more efficient. Give $20 and it goes to where it is supposed to. I want value for my dollars spent and donated and this is not. And I sure do not want to give additional dollars to the State of ILL in order to do it, They need to come up with other ways to get NIL monies that are more efficient

Before I was able to search for NU and lacrosse and got it. Did not see it when I went back to check because or your post. Just got sweat shirt and tshirt in mail today.
