Former Cat Tavaras Hardy is proud of Northwestern's run

Very nice story. Thanks.
A class response from a class guy. Now if a certain, previous HC would also show some class and congratulations to the current Wildcats and their coaching staff, wouldn't that be nice.

How do you know he hasn't?
Well I would think that if a former HC, who recruited a couple of this years team members, it certainly would have been noted. Then again, it has never been reported that that coach has thanked the university that paid him well for 13 years or the players that helped make that happen.

This comment is amazingly small and unnecessary.
Not really. I've always thought that Carmody did some good things for NU BB, although recruiting was not one of them. he's seems more of a fit at a lesser program. It still bothers me however, that he never took the time to publically thank the university and especially the players for the time he spent at NU. I have followed all kinds of sports for years and seem to remember many coaches, as they leave their position to take it upon themselves express some sort of gratitude. Oh well, on another note and just got off the phone with a friend, who has ST at W-R and she said she thought she saw Carmody's wife at a game recently, sitting next to Randy Walker's wife. Maybe they still have a home in Evanston, as I think one of their children is attending or has attended NU. Just wondering.

I'd love to see president bienen invite carmody to the game and go. I know henry negotiated two purple seat tix in his exit package. So he is a huge fan

If Carmody still feels wronged and doesn't want to talk about NU, that's fine. He has no duty to tweet anything. At least he's not wishing death on the university administration like Bobby Knight.

Geez, Willy, @CoachCarmody's last tweet was congratulations to Northwestern. Lay off!
Responding to myself, because nobody checked out my source.

CoachCarmody had one lifetime tweet, a single, solid retweet, congratulating Northwestern.

I reached out to former Wildcat player and assistant coach Tavaras Hardy, now an assistant at Georgia Tech, to get his thoughts on NU finally making the Big Dance.

Give it a read.

So, I don't get why he left then.

I don't for a minute believe he believed in CCC. If he did, why would he go? Change of scenery? I don't buy it. Doesn't add up.

I suspect he wants to be a head coach and knew it wasn't going to happen at NU with Collins ahead of him. Better to get experience somewhere else, and back then Georgetown was a brand name program. Now, not so much. But Ga Tech under Pastner may get him the props he needs to finally step up.
