Fox in the Big House?

@Deeringfish - Are you asking sarcastically or seriously?

Harbaugh put out this invitation somewhat backhandedly in response to some college coaches who were complaining about schools setting up summer camps in other schools' proverbial backyards, i.e. Michigan going down to Texas and hosting a camp at a local high school. I don't think Harbaugh expected anyone to be brazen enough to take him up on the offer, but if Fitz is, I'm for it. There are definitely risks - Fitz could come out of this looking foolish, but I'm personally confident he knows how to play his hand effectively on this one.

I was asking seriously, I didn't see the tweet. I really have to look hard to see that gray lettering on my computer. I wonder if Fitz also has an altruistic idea that there can be a fraternity of coaches. He may want to have a relationship with Harbaugh that is not too antagonistic. "Let's make the B1G look great and be a happy family"

Well said Sheff...those are my thoughts exactly. I believe at this point in time Fitz is the only B1G HC that took Harbag up on his offer. It would have been pretty funny if Urban and D'Antonio decided to attend as well...what a bizarre dynamic that would have been. These satellite camps and the like really rub me the wrong way. It seems like Delaney has fallen asleep at the wheel...how can a practice that has been prohibited by the $EC be allowed in the B1G?

Well, apparently Harbaugh was wrong because 70 schools will be represented, including coaches from the B1G, Florida, and South Florida.

I'd imagine the vast majority of those schools will be very small programs, DIII, NAIA, Junior Colleges, etc - no?

Fitz does a nice job of inviting many of the local small school coaches to attend our camps so they can get a look at the lower level prospects.

Funny thing...if we find out that Fitz and Harbaugh are bros, I will be p*ssed.

I honestly want Harbaugh's Michigan team to pound Northwestern into the ground (at least/no more than once)...I want Fitz to be livid and to show the killer instinct he used to show on the field as a linebacker. I believe it's possible that we could get to a point where Fitz would sell his first born to beat Harbaugh. That's the kind of Fitz I want...not the "awwe shucks you got the best of us" sportsmanship Fitz that makes me want to light my pile of purple gear on fire. This is singularly what I think and hope Harbaugh brings to the Big Ten...a level of competitiveness that is lethally contagious.

Yeah, but there are still at least a handful of BCS coaches who called Harbaugh on his bluff. Which is awesome.

And yes, I know. The Showcase was started while I was with the team.

I know! Right?

You don't have to worry about that no matter what any outside appearance could be.
