The guy had it made at Vandy, and he still has it made at PSU if it's about money alone. But i'm thinking he may be gone at the end of the season. Former players even said the coaches suck.

Franklin, surely under fire now after a 7-6 season, had little explanation for Penn State's offensive meltdown.

''I'm not going to come in here and be defensive and make excuses. We've got to get it done,'' he said.

I really doubt he is gone barring a complete collapse. They have an exceptionally easy schedule and should be able to back into 6-7 wins at worst. Franklin will eventually blame the previous regime for leaving the cupboard bare and then sacrifice some assistants to save his hide. After he starts the losing with his star recruiting classes then he'll be on the hot seat. To me, he hasn't provided any evidence he is a top flight coach!
