We only give ass-beatings around here. We never take them.Tough tough choice. Clarify "choking away". 20 point loss, never in the game?
I guess winning a first round game might be better, especially if the 2nd round isn't an ass beating
Except against the Ilini. We only give ass-beatings around here. We never take them.
Purdue too, that other time. (shhhhh)Except against the Ilini.
I guess I mean losing, period. I assumed that if we won the BTT, we'd get a 7 or higher seed, so losing in the first round would be viewed as an upset.Tough tough choice. Clarify "choking away". 20 point loss, never in the game?

Edit. Win an NCAA game. Remember the "haven't won a bowl since the 40s" mantra? Let's end the "haven't won a tourney game" before it starts
I voted NCAA wins. I just don't like these conference tournaments. The regular season games are what should count. The question is posed as a trade-off for a reason
I don't think either is inherently better for the program. People remember 15 seeds winning, not 9 seeds. However I would guess that in the next ten years NU will have more games won in the NCAAs than conference tournament championships. So I'll pick the more rare event and say Big Ten title.
