They were improved this year & playing for bowl position...and their attendance looked embarrassing.

Meh, terrible weather on a holiday weekend with students off campus. And with the result it’s hard to say anyone made the wrong choice!

I would have guessed it was about 15k based on eye balling it from the East stands. Couldn’t see the upper deck behind us but can’t imagine much of anyone was up there.

TV might have been deceptive bc all the Illini fans in lower deck on our side moved back to row 50 or so to be underneath the canopy. Probably couldn’t see them. We stayed in row 35 ish, contrary to the forecast it didn’t really rain much at all. Fun game.
