I met up with some Rivals guys who are in for B1G Media Days in Chicago last night. The Michigan guys told me something interesting about Harbaugh's recruiting class. They think that Harbaugh has 15 scholarships to give out this year. Right now, the Wolverines have 21 commits, and Harbaugh has said that he will be accepting up to 28. That means that 13 players will have to be dropped by signing day -- either commits who get their scholarships pulled or potential fifth-year seniors who aren't invited back. That's a big number. Their class currently has four two-stars who don't have very impressive offer lists. It wouldn't surprise me if a few of them suddenly "decommit" at some point before signing day. Harbaugh can't play the academic card like he did at Stanford (not when guys who have 2.5s can get in at Michigan), so it will be interesting to see how he pulls it off.
