Historical note (to make us feel better)

In 1948, we won our first few games. The unbeaten Wildcats then travelled to Ann Arbor on the second Saturday in October. Michigan shut us out, 28-0.

We lost only one more game the rest of the season (to Notre Dame). We went on to play in - and win - the Rose Bowl.
