I think every effort should be made by both schools to make Sean Weber and Anthony Thomas honorary captains this Saturday. Ya know, for old times sake.

I was 29 years old on that fateful day. I'm 44 now. I'm not sure my heart could handle another game like that right now.

One of my favorite NU football memories: No Chores and I are at the bar of the hotel in Syracuse before the 2012 game and we're regaling Nick Van Hoose's father with detailed accounts of the play. He may have had no idea who Sean Weber or Raheem Covington were, but he certainly warmed to the conversation and has been most friendly ever since.

It was night by the end, but it started out during the day.

How well I remember that great evening with Nick's father Roger and uncle Dennis. The entire Van Hoose extended family comes to our tailgate every week, and Roger and Dennis never fail to mention our great evening with them at Syracuse. They are very good people. Nick is a real credit to NU and a first rate young man. He also comes over to the tailgate after the game.
