.....but I'm actually kind of disappointed with this recruiting class. I am seeing ranks of 10th and 11th in the Big Ten. And coming off a 10 win season in 2015, I guess I just expected better. I have been very disappointed to see Illinois ranked higher than us. Maybe I'm wrong. Usually am. But just seeing more kids than I'd like to without other impressive P5 offers.
I know, I know. Please don't give me a list of two star kids who made all Big Ten at NU. I get it. But the way I judge a recruiting class up to signing day is really by how consistently we beat out other schools, Top 25 football schools, for kids. Unless Fitz and Co have cornered the market this year on identifying top kids that all the Top 25 schools missed, I just think we lost most of our head to head recruiting battles this year.
