I know we came close last year, but the addition of Diamond Stone is a HUGE matchup problem. Believe that 2 of the following three things must happen for us to win.

1) Win or closely lose the rebounding margin
2) Do NOT allow Diamond the freedom of movement to have anywhere near the game he had against PSU; make someone other than him or Melo beat us (easier said than done)
3) Learn from the Penn State blueprint of slowing down the pace; if we score around our season average,I suspect that will result in a loss for us.

Get good looks from and shoot well from three (pretty sure they've been giving up high % from three). Also, don't let Trimble get to the line. Feel like that was a huge part of his game last year and limiting him from going to the stripe could really kill his rhythm.

NU needs to rebound and hit a lot of 3's and avoid the long dry spells that hurt last season. We will still live and die by 3s with Olah out and relying on a freshmen center. At least formula is simple for NU. and we have some decent streak shooters who are getting better.

If two guys other than Mac and Demps can get going in the first half, we're going to win.

1) Check
2) Diamond OK. Melo, not so much
3) We didn't slow down the pace, but don't know if it was a factor. I should have mentioned "shoot better than 10% from 3" in its place.
