Not sure where to post this, but once you submit a title with your post it appears it can not be edited. Am I missing something on how to do it?

( I edited your title. )

Alaska dude, my screen may not look the same as yours because I have certain magical powers you do not have, for example I can make you disappear or turn you into a toad. when I view your post, there is an edit icon under the body of the post to make corrections. However under the heading of the post there is another edit icon that lets me change the heading or title of the post ..

BTW, Any chance you will make it to Duke?

Wow that is scary. You can go in and edit what I already posted. For all of those on this board who have found any of my posts bizarre in the past you can place the blame on that magician in Florida who can turn any of us into toads. I had always wondered what the significance of the frog reference was in FloridAlum's email address.

RE: BTW: Hope springs eternal, but looks like a trip to the East Coast is not in the cards at this point. (I just returned from travels to Northern Asia and Sakhalin Island Russia along with stop overs in Hawaii followed by a five state road trip from L.A. to Seattle.)

Nevada sunset from the "road trip" via the replacement vehicle for the one wrecked last fall when a truck running a red light smashed into me (and another photo with some of the extended family having fun playing with the "Transformer Car" as they termed it):

(FloridAlum, you will recognize that "extended family member" in the driver's seat as one of the then very young helpers who assisted you and FarEastWildcat in transporting funds at the very first Alamo Bowl party.)

Thanks for the tip. It took awhile, but I finally figured out that a little wrench icon up at the right top of the post, near the title, would take me to the edit title feature. I will be eternally in your debt. You are not only a dear friend but a really great guy.

Correct! On my screen it looks like a little wrench. For demonstration purposes only, I slightly changed your previous post to show you how easy it is to edit. Do you like it? I could change it again so it says something like, FloridAlum, keep your grimy little hands off of my post.
On the news front, badnews is that Turk and I have left several messages over the past month for The Waterboy with no response. We have no idea what he is up to, although he previously said he was going to go to the game. Good news is that last night I heard from JustGary, whom I thought was MIA. He is alive and well! Will be going to Duke game and staying in the same hotel with Glades, Turk and me (and Waterboy if he resurfaces) so we can all carpool . We will force him to eat barbecue Friday night.

.

Not only are you a magician but you read my mind.

As you said I said, "I will be eternally in your debt. You are not only a dear friend but a really great guy."

(And here all these years I thought running into you and the Mesacats at breakfast in Arizona was a coincidence. Little did I know you have magical controlling power to align the stars of the universe. Can you now just put those talents to work getting us to a bowl game this season?)

BTW, Showing up at that deli in Arizona is is my all-time favorite Alaskawildcat story, ranking ahead of fedexing crab legs to Detroit and the wonderful little cat dolls in Texas, etc. I have told that story many times. Of course most of the people I tell it to think it is boring but who cares. You and I think it was cool which is all that matters

... and one of my all-time favorite FloridAlum hosted Purple Parties - especially since we started out the season by winning the game against Vanderbilt that followed:

That was a great trip, and the party worked out better than expected. Do you realize that there were between 75 and 80 people at the party, and there was tons of food left over. . A few notiable faces in the photo are fullfathomfive in the back, who apparently disappeared from this board about two years ago, VACat, who also seems to have disappeared, I cannot find him, Waterboy, Gladeskat, Mrs. Fiadhaich, übercat, and my good buddy and champion door prize assistant, JJ, the young lady kind of front left in the dark purple dress .
On top of great food and a great crowd, the manager was wonderful. At the end when I was settling up, he said that he was so happy with our group that he deliberately undercharged me about $250. Then I told him I would give him back 100 of that if it went to the waiting and serving staff as a tip, which we did. Then he drove Glades and me that to our hotel. How many restaurant managers would do that!

Alaska, I see that you edited in earlier post regarding funds at the first Alamo bowl party. That was the first time I ever met anyone from the board. I went there not knowing anybody and ran around wide-eyed trying to find as many board people as I could. I had nothing at all to do with transporting funds. The person who went with FarEastWildcat was Colby Clarks dad. FEW was still living out of the country at the time and most of the work planning the party was actually done by the Clark's , particularly Mrs. Clark. She did most of the work. She also had some serious clout and was able to get that location which was perfect. The Clarks are awesome

I presume it is down to just the two of us who are following this thread at this point, but for completeness, I think those from Texas you mention are included at the far left in this photo from the Sun Bowl. The others are part of my "extended family."

Thanks for confirming. Running into the Clarks at the SunBowl just as we entered the stadium was another one of those "meeting at the Deli in Arizona" type moments.
