how long can we keep dodging bullets?

Yep. And although I'd like to give the highly-rated frosh QB a chance to grow, we can't keep making mistakes and asking the defense to bail us out. Cause sooner or later, the hole dug is too deep and the opponent, Ball State tonight, takes the halftime lead. Lots of time left, but I don't like the feel of this game. Better get heads on straight at halftime.

Just heard Coach Fitz say on WGN that Thorsen and the Cats need to execute when they get the ball first in the second half. Fine. Fair enough. And if this offense keeps shooting itself in the foot, try something else. You know the definition of insanity ....

Second half sounding a lot better. Whatever the coaches said at halftime is working. Thorsen to Vitale for 21 yards, TD, less than three minutes and Cats take the lead, 14-10. Keep it going!!

1. It's always better to be lucky than good, especially in college football. Seriously. I'll take lucky every time.
2. Our offense looked like world beaters on the first drive of the second half. These guys have it in them.
3. Two more wins to bowl eligibility. This team can find at least two more, but I'm actually optimistic for more.
