I predict Zack will start vs Stanford

I'm a huge believer in the Hammer of Thorsen, and believe he will take the reins eventually, but I see Zack as the starter for the Stanford game because he seems to have earned it in the preseason. It ain't about loyalty or any crap like that, it's simply a case of who gives us the best chance to win at this point. Now if Stanford manhandles our OL and puts tremendous pressure on the QB then I can see the more mobile Hammer coming in. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if we had some packages where the Hammer will come in and mix it up with his feet and his arm on a few plays kind of like what Cal and NIU did to us last year with their backup. But Zack will start.

If Zack starts and does okay, then I only see Thorson seeing limited time in situational plays. It doesn't seem like he is ready yet, may need a 2 or 3 game breaking-in period before going full time. Of everything changes if our OL gets dominated and we need a more mobile QB whether he's ready or not.
