...that 2018 OL Sam Stovall will commit to NU next weekend on his official visit.
He is still a Western Kentucky commit but that will change soon, I suspect. He was all set to sign with WKU the day the before early signing period when Adam Cushing offered him a scholarship. It’s all about the degree for him - he said that NU was the only school he would decommit from WKU for.
He’s going to take his official next week, but he already came up to see the campus a couple weeks ago when he was in Chicago visiting a cousin. He loved it. He’s already talked to Kyric McGowan about NU, too (he played with McGowan’s younger brother Kolby at Chattanooga Notre Dame).
He told me that if all goes well on the visit, he doesn’t see any reason not to commit. So I think Stovall is going to be the last OL of the class. He’s being recruited to be either a guard or tackle. He’s 6-5, 280.
