I don't think he gets talked about enough. He just makes one good special teams play after another after another after another.

Is he a junior or senior? I hope he sticks around for a few more years if possible. He kicks some butt for us whenever he's on the field.
I know nothing about him except for what he's done in the field, but I have a strong inclination that he would be a great addition as a graduate assistant whenever he is ready. Switching positions as a fifth-year senior shows a leadership and a selflessness shared by many in the program.
The guy is a real gamer. I was kinda bummed when they switched him to LB as I felt CT could use his blocking and short yardage running. But he will find a way on defense and special teams. He is a beast.
It will be interesting to see what measurables Long produces on his Pro Day. If he pulls a Joe Jones, he's definitely headed to an NFL camp.
What are the chances that he breaks into the starting line up for us this year if no-one get hurt? Seems to me he needs to show he can play the position, right.

Warren Long was a credit to our program as a player, and is now as an alum.
As I digest every new report (seemingly twice a day they come), I feel my anger grow. Unlike some misguided poor souls on this board - I’m angry at PF, his coaches and all his GD enablers. Them most.
Yes - gragg and schill shouldn’t have jobs at high schools. But they did not create this mess. Nor did PF.
The PKK founders - Phillips, Morty, Ryan and every person that created the egomaniac are responsible for this unprecedented destruction of NUFB. Worse than AD Taylor, these people didn’t kill the golden goose, they stuffed it. Til it exploded.
The lack of controls over PF, IMHO, are truly the cause of this epic demise. They allowed one man to become larger than the institution. The one quality PKK clutched as results tanked was a clean program. Not Ped State. Not here.
In doing so, Phillips and Marty belong w gragg and schill in a trash heap w PF - the Frankenstein that they built. And I would throw Ryan there too. Screw his money - hope he likes having his name strung all over buildings that traumatized the lives of some young men and ruined his alma mater’s once miraculous football program.
Hope this trip over power serves a lesson for someone. Hope something positive can come from this thing. But with every day, I grow more angry, upset, embarrassed - more than I ever did during years of terrible teams. And die hard PKK folks around here don’t make me any prouder about our institution…

WML is one of very few players that I got to know a little personally. We went to one of his HS games and he was doing great, then suddenly disappeared. So we left. We read that he had showboated so his coach took him out for a quarter. My wife met his Mom after a Cats game and we talked about what fans we were. Warren came out after the game and we reminded him of that game. It was like 4 years after but his Mom was still pissed and he was so embarrassed. We still laugh about it. The look she gave him.
