Hear me out... We're run heavy anyway. We recruit Hback type of players.... Why not just call them a fullback and teach them to play fullback. We have a stable of backs. Some are fast, some our more downhill, and then there is the awesome enigma that is Justin Jackson. Why not tell our oline to put on weight and strength that goes with it and run a more conventional non-spread attack. Now we combine our run heavy offense with a great defense. You can win like that (see Iowa and Wisconsin). Maybe not quite what we saw from those teams. I'm thinking more like Stanford that has a primary power run game but they can move McCaffery around and throw screens like a spread.
