If you can read this article without knocking wood...

Does repeated knocking of my wooden deck with my shovel as I shovel snow count?

I liked that in the linked listing the Wildcats are the first featured. As we keep winning games we will be even more the story for this years Tournament. Thanks for a fun read.

I love this quote:

With four of its final six regular-season games at home and three of the final six against teams in the bottom five of the Big Ten standings, it’s pretty much just a question of seeding now, not getting in.

That rapping sound you hear is all of us knocking our knuckles raw.

Interesting that New Orleans is doing so well, a team we have destroyed two years in a row. I assume this is helping boost our noncon SOS resume.

I have resawn, cross-cut, carved, and jointed wood. But I would never knock wood. It's been too good to me. ; )

And I would never knock our chances for punching our ticket to the Dance, Felis notwithstanding.

Great article, Glide.

"only an all-out collapse could prevent the school’s first foray into the NCAA tourney. And while a program as historically prone to disaster as this one should never feel too secure, Northwestern seemingly is just a couple of wins away from locking up that elusive first bid"

that's the knocking on wood done for us.

Yes. I did appreciate that quote. But then again... I didn't like the negativism. I am not sure that I am a completely balanced individual.

The Cats haven't been this awesome this long into the season for a long time. At the same time, we've all seen how quickly any team can fall into a five+ game losing streak. I can't tell if I'm excited or terrified about tonight's game or if there's any difference between the two...
