I'll start to believe if we win tomorrow....

I actually think this one will be an L tomorrow. I think OSU's height is going to really bother us, they are at home, they are playing well of late, and they actually need the win more than we do. Hope I am wrong....

KenPom says Cats will lose by one but will have 22 wins and will make the Dance. So that's encouraging that tomorrow isn't a must win but probably the type of game that shows us we are a tourney team

This is consistent with my thoughts. OSU's KenPom is 57 so it won't do much damage with us being on the road, and I just think that there are a number of much stronger matchups for us the rest of the way that will result in the 8 more wins that we need.

This is such a classic Cats shit the bed game. I'm taking the other side. I think NU wins by 10+ and we should all be excited for NEB and IU in Evanston next week.

I think the Cats will pull this one out. Sick of losing to dOSU.

NCAA exuberance will become irrational.

No OSU is not the best team in the Big Ten. Far from it. But we ALWAYS gag against them... whether one of their great teams or a mediocre one. If we are going to change history and write a new chapter, this is the kind of game where it needs to happen.....
To date, we have only beaten BIG teams with losing conference records. Beating OSU shouldnt be difficult for ncaa madness team. That said, our schedule is very favorable as we only play wisconsin, maryland and indy only once. I think 10 BIG wins is reasonable.

Well, OSU does have a losing conference record as well.....;)

If NU wants to show itself as one of the better teams we have to keep it that way. Nothing like advancing your cause and eliminating the competition at the same time.

Liked how we kept the hammer down against Iowa, the question now is can we do that to the conference or will we relax?

Yes so im not sure a win against OSU legitimates our peaceful and easy feelings about going to the dance.

As an aside, who the hell came up with our schedule? This will be our 7th BIG game and 5th on the road. What the hell?

I have to be somewhere at 2 pm, so I hope I'm not asking for too much...

Cats to win by a comfortable margin
No fouls by either team
No timeouts taken by the coaches
W in the books by 1:45.

That's ok right?

I disagree with this one-game-means-everything mentality. If NU beats OSU on Sunday, it will be great. But it won't mean anything if they turn around and lose to Nebraska on Thursday night. Conversely, if they lose to the Buckeyes all it will take is winning one game they weren't expected to win to get back to even.

This year in the Big Ten, every game is going to be a dogfight. It seems like every game I was posting "it's not a must-win, but it's as close as you can get in January in their quest for the NCAA tournament." That's all BS. All of NU's games are going to be like that, all season long. NU can beat anyone in the Big Ten this year; they can also lose to anyone in the Big Ten this year.

Buckle up. It's going to be a fun - and agonizing - ride.

I'm going to enjoy watching the ride all the way. This year throw out all the old jinxes and bad luck.. it's a brand new ball game, baby!

Ye of little faith. I told you NU would win a close one. Get on the bandwagon, this is the year!!

You should have offered a wager with me. I was so on the fence with this one I would probably not have taken it though. As it was, the game was a nail-biter.

Your faith waivered. I stood firm with CCC and my boys and predicted a close win. I may need to become Collinsphile.
