Illinois can SUCK IT

I mean, the best they can do is beat the f*ck out of NU on our home field with bowl eligibility on the line.

Injuries are no excuse - a backup quarterback destroyed NU that day and our backup QBs couldn't do a thing.

There have been a lot of bad losses in the Fitz era - Duke to end their streak, and at Indiana in 2008, and Army (Army?!), and others - but losing to our only real rival, in embarrassing fashion, with the chance to salvage some semblance of success in the season... Well, let's take care of our stuff before we make fun of that eloquent, confused gentleman.

I would say injuries were a good excuse for that game, and that loss doesn't hurt for me like many of the others do (e.g. three straight losses to Michigan in excruciating fashion). Trevor was out injured, as were multiple starters and reserves on defense. Injuries happen, I know, but when we're playing with a bunch of experienced guys on the sidelines, I'm more forgiving about the results on the field. Let's get healthy in 2015, refocus, and return to smacking the Illini upside the head, ala 2012.

Totally agree. My humor masks the embarrassment of losing to that buffoon and that team. We have a great opportunity to redeem ourselves at Soldier Field.
