Any idea when kickoff time will be announced? I think the conference changed its policy about no night games in November, but I imagine this one won't start any later than 2:30pm. I'll be in town that weekend, and making plans to attend the pumpkinhead bash.

Added question. Is this year their home game? If so I assume it will be played at Soldier Field?

Yes, it's at Soldier Field on Thanksgiving weekend. Officially a home game for the Illini, so they have only three other conference home games in C-U. I'm guessing the turnout will be decent but nowhere near a sellout.

Which adds another question. Being played at Soldier Field does that allow for alcohol to be sold at the game? If so curious if it will be a factor increasing attendance.

95% sure alcohol will be available. If not feel free to come by my condo before or after

I'd also bet a lot of money that alcohol will be sold at the game. It would surprise me if both ADs didn't lobby heavily for a later start time, which could only help attendance, so I'll bet either the 2:30 time slot or something unique (like 1 p.m., but definitely after 11 a.m. CST).

Thanks for the invite for libations, but my designated role is designated driver. Now if you are in need of some Alaska Reindeer Sausage or Smoked Alaska King Salmon, I can help in that department as well.

It seems I keep winning bottles of wine as door prizes so I guess I could bring those as well.

While the conference now allows evening kickoffs, all evening kickoffs are announced at the start of the season and NU-Illinois was not among them. The game will likely be at either 11 AM or 2:30 PM, though the conference has had some 1PM and 3PM kickoffs in recent years.

The kickoff time will be announced either 12 or 6 days prior to the game, so either on 11/16 or 11/22.
