In shock

The mob got its pound of flesh. Completely unjust and undeserved. NU can count on one less fan going forward. I hope Fitz sues them for millions.
I understand the emotion, but unless you have really been in the room, there is probably something you don't know about the situation. I think this is a sad day for a lot of people, myself included.

Wow. Stunned, and yet half expected it. Now that it's real, just stunned.

Knock me over with a feather.

I will say this: if today’s charges of racism have anything to do with the decision, then this is a garbage decision and a more colossal failure than at any time in the last 72 hours.

As I wrote many times, it is clear to me and every honest person that hazing occurred. I had mixed feelings as to whether that element was truly fireable. A failure of leadership, and a stain on his legacy, but perhaps not egregious enough to be a career-ender.

The racism stuff, however, was a case of 15-year-old allegations being presented as truth. It was terrible reporting by the Daily, two days after they so distinguished themselves by getting the story that professionals ignored.

I sincerely hope Gragg is next.

Not just Gragg. The initial two week suspension had to have been approved by some members of the Board of Trustees, president and executive committee at least. Going from a two week suspension to firing in just a few days is malfeasance. They all should quit.

And the local news stations like NBC were running with that Daily story on the 5:00 news today as if it was fact.
