Butler beat Arizona, but they couldn't get past the Sycamores. Indiana State beats them 72-71 to hand the Bulldogs their first loss.

Butler's KenPom only dropped to 19, since the game was on the road and Indiana State is not a terrible team

A clear lesson: don't play road games in Indiana. Butler, IPFW and now Indiana State will laugh in your general direction.

This is the wrong lesson. Seeing major programs taking an unexpected detour to visit in-state rival is fun, and we shouldn't grade too harshly if they lose. IU losing in Fort Wayne was definitely funny, but it didn't seem to hurt them against North Carolina a few weeks later.

I feel like in-state rivalries allow the heavy underdog to ignore the record books. Unfortunately, that didn't happen for my Cornhuskers last night against the #10 Bluejays at the Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Creighton looks good. Real good. Their freshman center is going to make a lot of money in the NBA some day. UNL fought hard but just isn't that talented.
