I talked to three-star 2022 QB Conner Harrell last night. He picked up an offer from NU last week and says that he's been talking to Coach Bajakian for the last three or four weeks.

He seems like a good fit for NU. Athletic kid who can run and extend plays, but he's definitely a passer first. Throws an impressive deep ball. He trains with Tua Tagovailoa’s dad and has worked out with Tua a couple times. He says that, style-wise, he's more like Tua's brother, Maryland QB Taulia Tagovailoa. Harrell also has a 3.9 GPA (4.5 weighted) and wants to major in something business-related, so he's very interested in NU. When asked what stands out about the program, he said. "Top 10 football team, top 10 academic school. Honestly, that's hard to beat." He says that Duke, Vandy, TCU and Nebraska are the schools recruiting him the hardest, as they've been on him for quite some time.

The problem for NU is that I don't know if he's going to be able to make it up to NU for an official. He's already got one scheduled with Duke, and he's talking to Vandy about another date. The issue is that he's only available for two of the four weekends in June. He's going to the Elite11 camp one weekend, and he's got a 7-on-7 tournament with his high school team on the other. Interestingly, he said that he and Coach Jake haven't talked about OV dates as of yet. Distance from home is not an issue for him. As he told me, "It's only a 10-hour car ride" to Evanston. I guess it's all relative.

I'm not sure how urgent NU feels about landing a QB in this class. Hilinski has three years left, and Richardson and Sullivan have four.
