I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Northwestern will have to shoot better than 20.7 percent from the floor -- their percentage vs. MSU -- to win.

Although this one is on the road, where NU has shot better than they have at Welsh-Ryan.

Demps has five early points and Northwestern leads 7-4 at the under-16 timeout. On the other hand Iowa has missed several open threes so far

After taking a 18-14 lead, Northwestern has missed its last eight shots from the field. Iowa leads 28-18 on the heels of a 14-0 run

More of the same crap let's move to the Missouri valley conference maybe we will be more competitive. Absolutely embarrassing.

Lolz- overreact much! We're forced to play Taphorn due to foul trouble, and the results here a re predictable. He needs to improve his defense and boxing out if he wants more than 5-10 minutes a game.

14-0 run by Iowa. Still looking for some offense from this team.

Same thing that plagued us vs. MSU. Run the offense to get a wide open look from Tap and a wide open look from Lindsay, and nearly as wide open a look from Falzon. All misses. That is how a close game becomes not so close in a hurry. Taphorn needs to sit a game like Lindsay, though imo. His lack of D and boxing out is now carrying over to his shooting, which is what he is in there for. He also looks afraid every time he touches the ball when he is not shooting.

No movement. No I'm not overreacting. We need palpable progress and this looks like regression to me. We are slow and can't shoot. We also don't box out and tap horn can't rebound or lately shoot

I'm really not sure Taphorn can play on a competitive Big Ten team.

When you say "Let's move to the Missouri Valley conference", you're overreacting.

He would not have played the rest of this game is Lindsey hadn't picked up 2 quick fouls (common problem with Lindsey). But give Tap some credit, he actually played decent D one-on-one witn Uthoff (even though Uthoff scored, it was actually the best D of the day for Tap) then took a nice charge after that.

Minny pressed and we tore it apart. Methinks it might have to do with the fact that we are playing a top-10 team? Hmm...could be...

At least all the Republican ads attacking each other during this game broadcast are providing a diversion from another blowout for the Cats. After watching these ads during the game I didn't realize how many of the Republican candidates are really for Obama's programs after all!

This was a team we beat last year, Mike. It's amazing how much they have improved from last year.

That snapped our 10 game losing streak, so I suspect that they took us a little lightly coming in. They did not make that mistake in the BTT, and you can see what happened there.....

We played and lost to Indiana in the BTT. We beat Iowa the year before. Iowa is greatly improved from last year, with Jok, Uthoff, and Gesell playing the best basketball of their careers. Even Woody has improved.

Sorry, it was the last game of the regular season, not the BTT, when we were handled by Iowa. Same point remains valid, though
