Last night he said with his vote he put NU at #5 in the country. I think he indicated it was in front of OSU and MSU. I think it is a week of two too soon. But it sounds like he is starting to believe.

Color me skeptical. I think the media are all over the NU bandwagon just for the free publicity it gives them to make a contrarian pick. Anyway, it really doesn't mean much in week 6.Cats need to keep winning and rankings will make care of themselves.

I agree. Two more weeks of victories and it will be well deserved but for now premature.

We've been dominant this year and the media is recognizing it. Can't we just accept that? Do we need to concoct imaginary enemies?

You're right of course. I just distrust the media from personal experience.

I don't see why both of these things couldn't be true, depending on the media member. We'll also always get outsize attention for a program with our history and fan base due to (in relative order) the Purple Media Mafia, our tendency to play close and notably crazy games (#M00N), and our proximity to a huge media market.
