So good job getting it done, guys. Great job coming back from a dreadful stretch where we were down 12. We cleaned up the rebounding problems. Did a great job defending Shields. Parker got loose but his scoring probably wasn't in the scouting report.

Demps hit his wide open threes but I thought he had a really weak game. McIntosh was only so-so.

Game ball obviously to Pardon. Maryland now has some video of him to study, but the kid has come to play.

Agreed. We won with our starting guards and two best players shooting 10 for 30 and Nebraska shooting 42% from three-point territory. Nebraska is really small up front so Pardon is going to have a huge adjustment when we play Maryland but hopefully Bryant and Tre will get their shots going. Bryant played really well against Maryland last year. We will need more out of Sanjay as well (no points, assists or steals). I didn't see the game (so he may have been playing outstanding defense) but he needs to produce more than that in 32 minutes. We are in a tough spot right now with our other 4's being poor defenders. It will be nice to get Law back next year and add the freshmen bigs.

Didn't see the game but I wonder if Lumpkin was responsible for Shields being held to just nine points for Nebraska. That's about half his average.

Lumpkin kept Shields in the locker room when he was near him. We played a lot of zone and matchup zone in this game.

Even if that's the case, that's a luxury this team can't afford in most games. He needs to get some put-backs, get a couple of steals, hit a 3, etc. I love his toughness and his ability to defend multiple positions but he's got to produce a little bit. He has been very effective in some non-conference games so hopefully he will get his confidence back.

Considering how much zone we played, I was surprised by the half-hearted mess with which we closed out at the arc. Sometimes there was only a token effort to get an arm up, which lasted until after halftime. To be honest most of our starters had a lackluster day. I think we were scouted well, and also just played subpar for a while.

We won from Forward / center play. Mark of a good team - when a couple players carry things - too much pressure to push things. A more balanced offense will mean more open shots for our guards. Falzon can be a true stretch 4. Many positives.
