The Cats are back in action by the Lake this week facing the surging # 23 Hoosiers. NU has a winning all-time record against Indiana (47-35).

Injuries, particularly to Cam Porter, were telling in recent weeks. NU's bye week was an opportunity to Indiana meanwhile has a strong passing offense that will likely be a harder challenge that Duke or Washington.

Time to prognosticate...

IU 24
NU 17

I hope I am wrong.

Not feeling so good about this one...

I too, hope I am wrong
I'm thinking lake conditions in relatively open stadium may limit passing. That would keep IU's offense in check a little more.

Defense will will once again hang in there, but offense will be anemic.

IU. 24
NU. 10

I think our defense will hold up and keep the score below the O/U. I also don’t think the Indiana defense is better than the Washington defense. With that said, s far this season, they have played extremely well and I don’t think we will win this game.

IU 23
NU 13

An objective observer would expect NU to get blown out this weekend.

Thankfully, I am not an objective observer, and lots of things — home game, IU getting some pub and some distractions, week off, a genius offensive coordinator — are conspiring in favor of the Cats.

33-27, Cats

I’m really at a loss on this one and pretty unsure how it’s gonna go. NU is +430 or so, which is way too much IMO. I think it’s gonna be competitive, and it better be or this is probably gonna be a super rough season. I think NU’s defense is gonna keep up in it, I’m just unsure if the offense is gonna do anything.

How good are the Hoosiers really?? Their high-scoring (so far) offense vs our “decent” defense (and out not-so-decent offense).

Cats 16
Indy 31

Updated prediction with detail. We give up two early scores and grovel around on offense. Defense rights the ship but offense doesn't do much. IU wins and covers because we don't score much.
