Jango Glackin is #11 commit

MLB type who can also get to the QB. Im impressed with the recruiting this year, Fitz has done a helluva job thus far this year and the appearance to me is that this class has potential to be as good as the class two years ago. Fingers crossed.

The great news continues to pour in. Welcome to Jango. It is especially rewarding to have a young man recognize what NU offers as very important, despite an offer from UW and overtures from OSU. NU is a great place to prepare oneself for life after college - as so many of these young men are learning.

Yes. enough good news that Turk has a bit of excitement about the future. That's saying a lot because I felt like a 2x4 has hit this program. Good to see that Fitz is fighting through two subpar seasons and somehow managing to not only keep the recruiting level from dropping off but this week has seen a spike in 'solid' gets and although there is a lot more spots, this year could rival the one we had two years ago in recruiting, which was imo phenomenal.

Whoa, big guy......the problem hasn't been attracting the talent, it has been developing the talent and drawing up winning game plans. I'm glad you have gotten into NU football again, but until the Cats return from Kenosha we probably won't know what to expect in 2015.

I think we've been developing talent fairly well at most positions (others...well). I wonder if we've been landing good enough talent to begin with. I'm skeptical about this class as well. We'll find out in 3-4 years if it's good.

Just call me really hopeful but slightly skeptical about NU football right now.

I think we need to see a year when more of the talent actually hits the field. Our injury rate the past couple of seasons has been unreal. If we have another season like that this year, I'm going to start to wonder about our training methods.

I'm not seeing anything here that's overly negative. I think a lot of people are taking a wait and see attitude for 2015, which I think is realistic given the past two seasons.

No kidding. I missed where this program gave us something to be excited about the past few years.

Aging Booster forgot the rest of the story. The Nay-sayers and Purple Koolaid drinkers and blah blah blah.

I have an idea, let's go back to the last several weeks full of crickets, dribble and moose talk...

Turk, good to see you back on here! I don't see the Northwestern's ,Duke's and Stanford's competing for NCAA Titles anymore! Why? Too much risk for injuries in football, means you need crazy depth like the SEC has. We had 34 guys out last year in the Purdue game. Ouch!

Are you familiar with the Capital One Cup? Duke currently stands #4 for men and Stanford #12. On the women's side Stanford is #1 and Duke is #12. Northwestern is not in the top 25.

I think the injury bug has had a lot to do with this. Game plans have put us in position to win but injuries have derailed us. How many did we have last year?

Games 1 and 2 were before the injury bug. Fizgerld admitted the team was not prepared and had to hold in-season boot camp before the WIU game. Can't blame everything on injuries.
