Has to be disappointing for U of I's athletic director to see his new hoops coach on this list before he's coached a game.

Chambers and Miles on the hot seat too. Those have too be the two toughest jobs in the BigTen - basketball coach at football U is not easy.

Illini are in trouble and reeling! Underwood might not be able to finish the season as coach of them. He might wind up being their basketball version of Tim Beockmann!

That seat might have gotten a bit hotter after last nights loss to Eastern IL..

It's his son.....;)

I am really flattered by this. I really like Wrassler and his posts, but my Dad died two years ago. Some of you might have seen us at games together. He started bringing me to NU games when I was 12. We went to football and basketball games at NU for over 30 years. After I graduated from NU in 91', I had season tickets for both sports for 25 years and brought my Dad to almost all the games until my Dad died of CML. We really had fun at games together and saw just about everything. The exception was this past NU bball's trip to the ncaa tourney. He would have really liked to have seen that and the Cubs win the world series last year too. I am willing to bet Wrassler is a really cool guy. It would probably be a lot of fun seeing NU play with him too! Thanks for the nice analogies!

Underwood was not pleased at losing their exhibition game to EIU.....

"Playing what is essentially a true road game against a lower-level Division I school that is only 50 miles away was never going to be an easy game for Illinois. But a Big Ten team getting badly outplayed by a middle-of-the-pack team from the Ohio Valley Conference is eye-opening."
